The Dietitian Café by Nualtra

The Brief

Nualtra, the fastest-growing medical nutrition company in the UK and Ireland, needed an innovative way to engage their target audience of dietitians. Nualtra wanted to be seen as the most trusted provider of medical nutrition, putting patients first and delivering unrivalled solutions and better value to health and care providers.

Our Approach

Nualtra approached HRS in 2019 with the ambition of creating a podcast to engage and educate the dietetic community.

Working collaboratively from the outset, HRS helped shape the podcast strategy, including audience positioning, episode themes and guest planning, with HRS CEO Harriet Smith serving as the original host and playing a key role in the podcast’s early development.

HRS has supported Nualtra with the ongoing delivery and growth of the series, managing the behind-the-scenes strategy, guest outreach, host support and recording process. Over the years, the podcast has featured >130 episodes and >180 guests, helping establish it as a recognised platform within the dietetic community, and winning a Complete Nutrition ’Nutrition Resource of the Year’ award in 2025.

Building on this success, Nualtra launched a sister podcast, #RD2b, aimed at student dietitians. HRS recruits, trains and supports the student host, while overseeing podcast strategy, guest management and podcast recording to drive continued audience engagement and growth.
